Tom Gola was a 6-6 guard/forward from La Salle University who played ten seasons in the NBA from the Philadelphia Warriors and New York Knicks.
Gola was drafted by the Warriors in 1955, playing six years there (with one year interruption due to military service), before being traded to the Knicks and playing out his career there.
Gola is recognised as one of the greatest NCAA players of all time, winning countless awards including being an NCAA champion, an NCAA Final Four MOP, a 3-time consensus first-team All American, induction into the College Basketball Hall of Fame and his #15 jersey retired by La Salle.
Gola averaged 11.3ppg, 8rpg & 4.2apg across his NBA career, with a career high of 29 points in 1963.
Gola was a five-time NBA All-Star and an NBA Champion in 1956, he was also a member of the All-NBA second team in 1958 and inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame post career.
