Rumeal Robinson was a 6-2 point guard out of the University of Michigan, who spent six seasons in the NBA.

Robinson had a strong collegiate career, averaging over 14 points and five assists per game in his three seasons with Michigan (including 19ppg and 6apg in his final year), becoming an NCAA champion in 1989 (which he played a crucial part in, nailing two clutch free throws in the dying stages of the decider), and being a Consensus 2nd Team All-American in 1990.

Robinson was drafted 10th overall in the 1990 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, where he spent two seasons as a fixed part of the rotation. His best NBA season came in 1992-93 when he averaged 13 points, five assists and a steal a game.

Arguably his best individual effort came against Washington in 1992, where he had 28 points, six assists and three steals with no turnovers.

From there, Robinson had stints in New Jersey, Portland (twice), Charlotte, LA Lakers and Phoenix, as well as time in Europe.

Robinson would finish his NBA Career in 1996-97 with career averages of 7.6ppg, 3.5apg and 0.9spg.

Unfortunately for Robinson, life after his basketball career was not kind, being imprisoned for 6 years for fraud in September 2010. He was released from jail in September 2016.
