Jerry Sichting

Jerry Sichting was a 6-1 point guard from Purdue University who had a successful ten-year NBA career playing with Indiana, Boston, Portland, Charlotte and Milwaukee.


Taken with the 82nd pick in the 1979 NBA Draft by the Pacers, Sichting averaged 13.6ppg & 2.8rpg in his final year at Purdue, before playing the first five seasons of his NBA career with the Pacers.


Sichting was then traded to Boston, where he developed more as a role player, but became a part of the 1986 championship team, which would be the highlight of his career.


Sichting finished his NBA career averaging 6.9ppg, 1.4rpg & 3.3apg over his ten-year career, with his best game coming against the Lakers in 1984 where he scored 29 points with 8 assists, 4 rebounds and a steal.
