They say everyone is out for their 15 minutes of fame, but in terms of the NBA, for Gary Voce, it was just four minutes of fame.

The 6-9 power forward played just the one solitary game for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1989, finishing with two points and two rebounds, and never graced an NBA court again.

Coming out of Notre Dame, Voce had success at the collegiate level, playing four seasons with the Fighting Irish, the final of which he averaged almost 12 points and eight rebounds.

One interesting story to come from Voce's collegiate career, was the night Voce recorded his first ever double-double, which just happened to come against #1 team North Carolina.

After the game, the much-loved Voce was mobbed by fans, one in particular, who stole one of his shoes clean off his foot, meaning Voce was hobbling around with one shoe for the remainder of the post-game celebrations.

Clearly a fan favourite, whenever Voce would make a shot the fans would put their arms up outstretched in the shape of a 'V', paying homeage to their beloved Voce.
