Eddie Owens was a 6-7 small forward who was a star out of UNLV, but was never able to make the jump to the NBA long-term.
Drafted by the Kansas City Kings with the 31st overall pick in the 1977 NBA Draft, Owens played just 8 NBA games with Buffalo Braves.
In those games he averaged 2.6ppg & 1.3rpg, with a career high of eight points in one game.
While his pro career was short, his college career was so impressive with UNLV that he had his #11 jersey retired by UNLV. He is the all-time leading scorer at the college.
