Bill Ebben may have only been 6-4, but back in the 1950's that was enough for him to be a dominant rebounder at the collegiate level with Detroit Mercy, before having a short stint in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons.
Ebben averaged 20.5ppg and 8.2rpg with Detroit Mercy over his college career, including one game where he hauled in 35 boards in 1955 against BYO.
Drafted with the 18th pick in the third round by the Pistons in the 1957 NBA Draft, Ebben's NBA career only lasted eight games, with an average of 1.9ppg, 1rpg and 0.5apg.
Ebben's career highlights include being named as a 3rd team All-American in 1957, and a two-time first-team All MVC in 1956 and 1957.
In 1978, Ebben was inducted into the Detroit Titans Hall of Fame, where he is still 11th on the all-time school scoring list.
